What is the Ulsan 10K Genome Project?

The Ulsan 10K Genome Project (Ulsan10K) is a joint research project between the city of Ulsan, the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), and the Ulsan University Hospital. By collecting the standard genetic information, personalizing healthcare, reducing medical costs, and promoting research, Ulsan10K aims to contribute to the commercialization of genome-based diagnosis and treatment.

Ulsan10K studies the association of human phenotypes, including genetics and diseases, via the lifestyle, medical, and genetic information provided by donors. In the near future, when personal genetic information services become popular, Ulsan 10K aspires to identify health problems in advance and to provide effective treatments.
